A bizarre mistake meant that the wrong Fulham player was replaced during their defeat in Bournemouth – with Marco Silva left behind to hear that the decision cannot be reversed.
Ryan Sessegnon was picked up in the 57th minute of the 1-0 win of Bournemouth on Monday, but in remarkable scenes it quickly turned out that the visitors actually wanted to keep him on the field.
An angry Silva protested furiously against the decision with the fourth official Tim Robinson, but his appeal fell on deaf ears due to the Premier League rules.
