‘Can’t move, can’t run’ – Butt singles out midfielder letting Amorim down

Nicky Butt broke the difficult performance of Christian Eriksen in a brutal way during the 4-1 demolition of Manchester United in Newcastle.

De Dane, 33, was inflamed and was escaped by the superior midfield of Newcastle, which mounted a peak of the second half with the score content at 1-1 during the rest 1-1.

Alejandro Garnacho had canceled Sandro Tonali's more skilled open in St James' Park, but Man Utd never really was there.

Harvey Barnes scored twice in the second half and Bruno Guimaraes got in a fourth after a hobler of no. 2 keeper Altay Bayindir.

The Turkish international came in the side because Andre Onana was dropped out of the team last Thursday for his own mistakes in the Europa League.

Butt – who was sitting next to Newcastle – heroes Alan Shearer and David Ginola, did not keep his assessment.

In conversation with Premier League Productions, Butt suggested that his former club did not look like they gave on Sunday, before he pointed to a lack of athletics in the wrestling side of Ruben Amorim.

The Treble winner said: “It's easy to sit there and apologize, but for me when you go on a football field, you have to do something about it.

“I did not expect man Utd to come here and would win. Newcastle is a better team, better individuals, better athletic, more power, more pace.

“I don't know how Man United goes on the football field and let it happen. I came here [as a player] And lost 5-0 so that it can happen.

“But allowing it to happen is something else, I didn't see a tackle or a little aggression. I didn't see anyone going with someone going together.

“You must at least show that we will not accept this.

“They just lie down and let themselves beat themselves too easily. They have no power and no pace. It is sad to see.

“I see Christian Eriksen who was a top player and now he can't move, can't run. It's ridiculous.”

Barnes has done the performance of a good winger, with Eriksen and shock starter Victor Lindelof unable to put a glove on him or someone else.

Roy Keane also destroyed the Red Devils as “physically and mentally weak” in the aftermath.

Keane then ruled his feud with club captain Bruno Fernandes about a “meaningless” interview that was “full of sound bites”.
