Gazzetta Dello Sport understands that AC Milan is dividing from naming Roberto de Zerbi from Olympique de Marseille.
Earlier this month, the Italian publication revealed that the Zerbi would probably leave Marseille after just one season to take the reign at AC Milan. It has been a tumultuous debut campaign for the former manager of Brighton and Hove Albion at the Vélodrome, but it could still end with qualifying for the UEFA Champions League of next season.
However, it now looks less likely that this will be the only season of the Zerbi with. Targeted by AC Milan, who will probably say goodbye to Sergio Conukiçao at the end of the season, the Italian is no longer the priority. Instead, the Serie A giants now focus their efforts on the re-adjusting of Massimiliano Allegri, who won the Scudetto with AC Milan in 2011. Their pursuit of Allegri will probably put an end to their interest in the manager of OM.
