Ex-Liverpool player admits he injured teammate on purpose to play ahead of him

The former Liverpool player was charged after he had revealed that he deliberately injured a teammate in the training.

A former Liverpool player was sued after he sensational admits that he has intended an opponent in an attempt to take advantage of himself.

“I was waiting too long for a fraction of a second and definitely put him at the top, it was a bad tackle – I knew it was a bad tackle, I did it on purpose and I am not incredibly proud of it. I am not ashamed of it, because it was me or him and I chose myself.”

After the bad challenge, the couple would have gotten into it – with Cleary, crutches ended. Brewitt claimed that he did not want to hurt his teammate, but “just needed him”.

He continued: “There was a bit of a battle next to it and I think he was submitted for his reaction. [that Cleary was angry] Because his reaction was probably beaten and I had ended the session. “He was on crutches for the next two weeks, so it was a bit like, not a mission completed because I think that is a bit hard because I didn't want to hurt him, I just needed him the way for this game.

“If that meant that I had ruined a relationship, I would do it. I was desperate to play for Liverpool and that is all I wanted to do.”

However, the decision was not quite good, because Brewitt was not included in the team against Exeter after a concussion – where Jose Enrique Deputation is the center of attention.

Brewitt did not even succeed in making a single appearance for the club and moved to MerseSide's youth team after a decade.

He later turned to AFC Fylde, Morecambe, Tacoma Defiance, Hartford Athletic and Swindon Town before he signed for a third American side in Orange County.

In 2024 it turned out that Cleary agreed both Brewitt and Liverpool for a “loss of a career at the highest level” and career income due to injuries and depression after he thought his leg had been broken into the incident.

The outcome of the case, which was £ 200,000, is unknown, but both Brewitt and Liverpool denied that they were liable.

Cleary was also unable to play for Liverpool and left after five years, some Birmingham City, Solihull Moors, Dundalk, St Johnstone and current club Shamrock Rovers.

“It is determined and then there is this,” said Cleary, while he broke his silence over the controversy after seeing a video from Brewitt that the claims made.

“Karma always works back in football. Blowing the candle of someone else does not shine yours brighter …”

He also said that he had “luck” to walk away with his “leg in one piece”.
