Fulham 1-3 Everton: Quickfire Keane, Beto goals complete comeback win

Michael Keane and Beto scored in the space of three second half minutes when Everton claimed a 3-1 Premier League victory at Fulham to dent the European prospects of their hosts.

The cottagers made a clear start and went through a thumping Raul Jimenez -header after good work by Emile Smith Rowe.

But despite attempts by Harry Wilson and Alex Iwobi, Fulham did not succeed in building on their momentum, and Everton recovered parity as the bent attempt by Vitalii Mykolenko found the net on the net on the break.

Jordan Pickford took out a spectacular salvation to keep Wilson's daring lob out, and Everton was rewarded for a much improved second half when Keane went home in the 70th minute from Dwight's deep corner.

After a long VAR check to confirm that goal, Everton quickly made the 3-1 Beto's attempt to wriggle through the grip of Bernd Leno.

Fulham wanted a fine deep in the stop time, but after a VAR check, referee Darren England held on to his original decision not to punish Mykolenko for handball.

And although the Marco Silva team stays in 11th place, victories for Brighton and Brentford mean that they are now four points in the drift of eighth place with two more games, while Everton Wolves jumped to the 13th.

Data Debrief: Fulham's Dip All But Ending European Ambitions

It is now a series of four defeats in the last five league games for Fulham, who have dropped 28 points from winning positions in the Premier League, which this season is the joint of every club in the division.

Everton stuck in and exposed that soft lower abdomen. Although they had 11 shots for the 18 of Fulham, the Toffees ended with a marginal higher expected target (1.05 to 0.97), even if they benefited from any happiness for their first and third goals.

Beto received the clincher. He struggled for Gametime under Sean Dyche, and his shape had been dived lately after a first bouncer under David Moyes.

But he now has two goals in his last two performances, and in total Beto has scored seven times in the Premier League, with only Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak and Jean-Philippe Mateta who score more in that time frame.

Moyes will also be happy with the determination that is shown by his side, with Everton coming from behind to win for the first time since a 2-1 win against Southampton in St Mary's in October 2022.
