Glasner insists Spurs clash is ‘business as usual’ ahead of looming FA Cup final

Oliver Glasner insists that the Premier League match of Crystal Palace against Tottenham is 'businesslike as usual' for the FA Cup final against Manchester City.

Palace is 12th in the table, four points for Everton and five behind Fulham, with all the eyes on next week's showdown in Wembley.

However, the Glasner side is about to match their recordly-out points in the Premier League.

This season they picked up 46 points, only three shortage of their competitive record of 49, which they reached in 1992-93, 2018-19 and 2023-24.

In particular, 52%of the points of the Eagles in the competition this season (24/46), with only Ipswich Town (68%), Southampton (55%) and Bournemouth (53%) with a higher ratio.

“This game is just businesslike to us. We want to play the final. We want to have this positive stress. The better our performance is in Tottenham, the better our trust will be for the final.”

In the meantime, Tottenham will still drive high from their Europa League semi-final victory in midweek, with a completely English final against Manchester United to get on May 21.

Spurs played a lukewarm 1-1 draw with West Ham previous time-out in the top flight, leaving them in 16th place.

After their Europa League victory at Bodo/shines, Ange Postecoglou has to let some players rest.

Both parties come in the back of Sunday on the back of some underwhelming form. Tottenham has won only one of their last nine Premier League matches (D2 L6), admitted in each of their last 10 games in the competition (a total of 20).

They last passed a longer run without a clean magazine in the competition in December 2010 (17 games), although their recent record against Crystal Palace is quite favorable.

Spurs has won each of their last nine Premier League matches against the Eagles. In their top history they only won 10 in a row against Blackburn (1933 to 1966).

Palace is Winless in their last five league games (D3 L2), after winning four of their previous five before (D1).

The Eagles each of their last three league matches and drew the last four in a row in October 2021 under Patrick Vieira.
