Ilia Topuria thinks that the days of Islam Makhachev are numbered in the lightweight division, but not for the reason you would think.
UFC Lichtweight Champion Islam Makhachev has spent his entire career with fighting on 155 pounds and defending his world title 4 times in a row against former featherweights Dustin Poirier, Renato Micano and the newly crowned Feederweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski twice.
Another featherweight that is about to get hold of Makhachev is Ilia Topuria, who dropped his title for a promised lightweight title fight earlier this year.
Makhachev vs. Topuria would be a huge superfight, but apparently that is not the only one on the table for Makhachev.
