Welterweight Gold is for the taking in the headliner on Saturday evening between Jack della Maddalena and title defender Belal Muhammad in Montreal, Canada.
This marks Muhammad's very first title defense after he had withdrawn from his fight with Shavkat Rakhmonov on UFC 310 due to injury. 'Remember the Name' won the title of Leon Edwards in an impressive version on UFC 304 last summer and is currently running on an undefeated streak with 10 fights.
On 17-2, Della Maddalena's win reak is even longer than that of the champion, but still comes to UFC 315 as the GOK Underdog. The Australian has so far come from his biggest victory over former title – Uitdager Gilbert Burns – who took place 400+ days ago on UFC 299.

Muhammad, a resident of Chicago, proudly represents Palestine and carries their flag on the world stage while conflicts continue abroad.
Muhammad may not be the most exciting champion or hunter on the Roster with a range of decision gains, but Adesanya praises him because he is an inspiration for so many.
“Respect for Belal,” Adesanya said about the UFC champion Welterweight.
“I also love what he is fighting for. I like that Belal, especially after he has won the belt, fights for the people of Palestine because of what is going on.
“It's good that they currently have someone to look at who can defend their business, and even if Jack wins, I still think that Belal is a champion for those people because he is fighting for them.
“He is struggling with them and they have to keep him to a large extent.
“But in this fight I go for Jack della Maddalena because that is my boy,” Adesanya explained.
