Rudy Galetti: Arsenal make Sesko contact; Griezmann yet to make Atletico call

The Insider – Rudy Galetti: Arsenal Make Sesko Contact; Griezmann still to call Atletico; Beto reconsider the future

Union Berlin's defensive rock that attracts large club interests

Diogo Leite has an excellent season with Union Berlin. The 26-year-old Portuguese defender has become an important player in the Bundesliga, which results in his team again with strong performance, including recent draws against Bayern Munich and Leverkusen. Leite is currently one of the most complete center backs in Germany.

He leads Union Berlin in many important statistics: he has made 204 ball repair (second best in the Bundesliga), 55 interceptions (third in the Bundes) and won 302 duels, which confirms that his presence on the field is strong and constant.

But Leite is not only a big defender, he also plays a major role in building from the back: he has completed the most progressive steps (297) and the highest number of total passes (1302) for Union.

With 927 completed steps and 194 to the last third part, he shows vision and accuracy. Leite also covers a lot of land – this season he has walked more than 305.8 km, more than any other trade union player. That is why many clubs from the Bundesliga, Series A and La Liga follow him closely. His contract runs until 2026, but Union Berlin tries to expand it. A strong, smart and modern defender, Leite can be ready for a big movement this summer and his future is all writing in the coming weeks.

Griezmann in no hurry as MLS -Interest grows

Antoine Griezmann attracts serious interest from various Major League Soccer Clubs, including Los Angeles FC. The French attacker remains one of the most respected names in European football and his profile is greatly appreciated by teams in the United States. Despite the growing attention, Griezmann did not make a definitive decision about his future.

The player of Atletico Madrid is still under contract until 2026 and remains deeply attached to the Spanish club. For this reason, he would rather wait until the end of the current season before he thinks of his next steps.

Despite some recent rumors, he has not rejected Atletico Madrid's contract renewal at all. At the moment, such an offer has not been refused and the focus remains on the last part of the season with the Colchoneros.

MLS clubs that are interested in Antoine, for their part, are willing to be patient: they know that convincing Griezmann to leave Atletico will not be easy, but they are willing to wait and present strong proposals for the summer. That is why the future of Griezmann remains open: although moving to the United States is a possibility, every decision will only be made after careful consideration in the coming months.

Beto concentrated on Everton, but …

Beto is entirely focused on helping Everton to end the season in the best possible way, but the summer could make important decisions for the rush. The Guinea-Bissau striker has attracted the attention of different clubs in Europe's top five competitions.

These clubs recently approached Beto's entourage to collect information prior to the next transfer window. The 27-year-old is satisfied with Everton and is happy with his current experience in the Premier League.

Beto is also open to considering other options, especially if a new project offers him a leading role and the chance to grow further in his career.

For now there are no advanced conversations or final decisions. Beto remains committed to Everton and wants to end the season with strong versions. He takes the time in June to evaluate all possible options, including the stay at the Toffees or move to another club if the project, as told, is convincing enough.

With interest that grows throughout Europe, Beto could become one of the names to look at in the coming transfer window. His future will remain open and in the coming weeks will be important when shaping the next step of his career.

Arsenal in contact with Sesko

Arsenal closely monitors Benjamin Sesko while preparing for the summer transfer window. In recent days, the Gunners had direct contact with the entourage of the player to discuss a possible movement: the feeling between the parties was positive. At the moment there are no advanced negotiations or final decisions, but the conversation was an important step.

Both parties agreed to keep contact quickly and to speak again soon, because Arsenal continues to evaluate their options for a new striker, since Sesko is not the only name on the list. Just as Arsenal is not the only club that is interested in Sesko, because he is interested in various top clubs. His current contract with RB Leipzig contains a release clause of € 70 million, although this could increase somewhat based on performance-related circumstances.

Arsenal is considering investing seriously in a young striker with a great potential, and Sesko fits their idea. In any case, if the contacts continue positive, the English club is also willing to match its costs, given it in accordance with the “real” value of the player.

It is still early in the process, but the interest is concrete and contacts will continue. Important developments are expected in the coming weeks.

Napoli and RB Leipzig Target Dragusin despite injury

The last time we talked about Napoli who are already working on plans to strengthen their defense in the summer, one of the priorities requested by Antonio Conte to stay on the bank next season. As said, Jakub Kiwior from Arsenal is a concrete option, with conversations that started in January. In any case, he is not the only controlled name: in fact Radu Dragusin, until a few weeks ago, from Tottenham, was one of the names on the shortlist.

The Romanian center-back was one of the players Antonio Conte identified as an important target for next season, but the knee ligament injury made it difficult.

However, Dragusin remains – despite his recent serious injury – as a strong and reliable profile, well suited for the tactical plans of Serie A and Conte.

For this reason, Napoli has not completely removed him from the list, but he will continue to follow his recovery path because he could become a valuable chance in the winter transfer window, possibly at lower costs. In addition to Napoli, RB Leipzig followed him before the injury and is now also the German club that waits to see how his recovery is developing.
