Tudor rues late lapse in Juventus’ draw with top-four rivals Lazio

Igor Tudor was frustrated on Saturday by Juventus' 1-1 draw with Lazio, and quoted a precious decline in concentration as the key to the loot that are shared.

Tudor watched while Randal Kolo Muani opened the score in the 51st minute, before Pierre Kalulu was sent away for Juventus nine minutes later.

Juventus fought with a man less in the stadio Olimpico for more than 30 minutes, but was canceled in the sixth minute of the second half of the stopping time through the header of Matias Vecino.

The goal of Vecino, Timed at 95:42, is indeed the second masterest goal that Juventus has admitted in the last 20 Series A seasons, which brought their 16th draw of the campaign.

However, Juventus is unbeaten in each of their last six league matches in which they have received a red card (W2 D4), and Tudor praised his team for their efforts.

“We have to congratulate the boys, there is regret because we were a minute from taking the three points home,” Tudor told reporters.

“It was a solid performance, we will take this point and concentrate on everyone we will come across this week after the difficulties we have had.”

Juventus leaves the result in the last top four, level on points with Lazio, and a further for Roma, who will take over atalanta in third place on Monday.

Juventus is the favorites to end in the Champions League spots and get a probability of 53.5% by the OPTA -SUPERCOMPUTER.

When asked about the resignation of Kalulu, his first red card on his 113rd Serie A -appearance, Tudor pointed to the inexperience of a young team that still learned under pressure.

“Absolutely, age and pressure go hand in hand and without experience it can happen,” he said. “We paid for these mistakes, but you learn quickly and look ahead.”

Tudor was also about his decision to eliminate Vasilije Adzic and Francisco Conceicao for Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Gatti, a movement that kicked eyebrows.

“I have to explain it (the replacements) because they have always been made for the well -being of the team,” he said.

“I apologized to the two players – I usually don't do that – but it was the right change.

“Gatti in particular earns praise. He came from the bank without a single training session and showed his leadership.”

With injuries that assemble themselves in the defense prior to the game of Juventus at home at Udinese next week, Tudor remained calm and concentrated on the task.

“We will prepare as well as possible with what we have, but we are ready,” he said. “Let's see who recovers – we miss three defenders.

“We will get Yildiz back and judge the others. Today we have shown the mentality of a large team – and we will need that again for the next two weeks.”
