Brighton raised their European hope with a 2-0 way victory over Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday.
Goals from Danny Welbeck and Brajan Gruda provided what the second victory of the visitors was in nine games in all competitions.
Welbeck, who was previously refused a opener by the offside flag, threw his 10th Premier League goal from the season home from the penalty spot in the 28th minute, after Matheus lost Cunha and Mats Wieffer had fallen into the box.
Cunha's long -distance attempt was pushed away by Bart Verbruggen, while Wolves sought a reaction after the break, whereby Vitor Pereira made a series of replacements while chasing the game.
Brighton, however, brought the game to bed five minutes of the time, with replacement Gruda's neat finish, all three points sealed and the hosts convicted for back-to-back defeats.
The side of Fabian Hurzeler climbs to the ninth in the table, although Bournemouth later could go back to Aston Villa on Saturday if they are confronted with Aston Villa, while wolves valleys to the 14th valleys.
