Emery denies claims that he will sign former star who left for Juventus

The Midlands club sold Douglas Luiz to Juventus in a surprise transfer last summer.

Luiz has not played for Juve in the past seven games due to injury, but hopes to eventually settle in Turin.

Asked about Luiz as the two teams battle it out in the Champions League group stages, Emery said: “He must be happy there.

“He must be challenged there with his quality.

“I don't think he wants to leave there, but I don't know.

“I think he's injured now and he won't be here tomorrow.”
