Terrance McKinney takes advantage of ‘game changer’ new rule to revive career with big KO at UFC Saudi Arabia

Terrance McKinney scored a blistered first round Ko about Damir Hadzovic to return to the win column at the UFC Saudi Arabia Prelims this Saturday.

'T-Wrecks' has been inactive since last May and has had a devastating knockout of the annual candidate against Esteban Riabovics.

At one point, the 30-year-old was considered a clear prospect of lightweight, but after back-to-back losing against Ismael Bonfim and Nazim Sadykhov, he became the forgotten man on 155 pounds.

A few victories and losses later Terrance McKinney was linked to Damir Hadzovic, who was also looking for a loss of a loss of Marc Diakiese.

Terrance McKinney uses 12-6 elbows to score the first round Ko

McKinney is best known for its explosive striking, which can sometimes lead to losses because he often leaves himself open to attacks.

Early in his fight against Hadzovic in Saudi Arabia, the 30-year-old landed a Heliappelse knee that led to a Takedown attempt by Hadzovic that was reversed.

'T-Wrecks' then showed his slick Jiu-Jitsu skills by switching to Full Mount, where he then ruled with 12-6 elbows, which were only made legal last year.

Since the legalization of the new elbows, there has been no example in which a hunter really used it, in which Gillian Robertson is the only one who has landed it in unusual ways.

The penetrating elbows opened a cut at the eyebrow of Hadzovic, but the American did not leave his attack. The Bosnian went to his back, but it didn't help when McKinney continued to rule to elbows.

Shortly thereafter, Jason Hertzog stepped in and cried the fight to save Hadzovic more damage. With that, McKinney returned to the Win column and again showed why he is a favorite under the fan base.

Terrance McKinney exclaims British fan favorite

After scoring the impressive victory in the first round, McKinney called for a fight against the favorite of the British fan, Chris Duncan.

“It's all glory for God and I would like to fight Chris Duncan, darling, let's get it,” he said in his Octagon interview.

McKinney and 'The Problem' were planned to fight each other in October 2023, but Duncan withdrew to late notification due to visa issues.

The Scotsman is usually a shoo-in to be admitted to the UFC London cards and the promotion recently announced that their return to the British capital was established on March 22.
